Remember Me Portraits
I have always been sentimental about photos and time with my parents, and that feeling has only grown as they’ve gotten older. I find myself taking photos every time we’re together and more than anything I wanted studio portraits to frame and hang in my home.
Luckily, I convinced the two of them to join me in the studio, and it was so special. They even got a little silly ;)
Another Kind of Senior Portrait
As life often does, whenever I find myself ruminating about things, I discover others are also on the same wavelength. Enter Dyanne. A lovely new client who I thought wanted a headshot, but as it turned out she wanted more than a headshot: she wanted a fabulous obituary photo of herself for when she needed it. I was surprised and impressed with her openness to plan for the future while also celebrating the present. Her granddaughter had just had senior portraits that she loved, and so now it was time for Dyanne’s “senior” portraits.
The Golden Years
It got me thinking, what if everyone in their golden years decided to be photographed when they’re feeling happy and healthy? The reasons to do it were endless.
You get to decide which photograph your loved ones remember you by.
It’s a perfect gift for the holidays for the people who love you. And yourself!
Being photographed can be fun and celebratory. Why not do it with someone you love?
How do you want people to truly remember you? Now is the time to make it happen on your terms.
Why not create a day of family portraits, while also capturing a solo portrait of yourself?
Leaving behind a legacy is so special. Why not include your favorite portrait to delight (or haunt) your family!
Family Portraits Come in All Shapes and Sizes
These silver-haired ladies on the beach were some of my first Remember Me clients. Doffie wanted portraits of her and her sister that resembled their mother and grandmother’s portraits in the studio, but she also wanted fun, carefree portraits of the two them on the beach. They had a third sister who had passed, and she didn’t want to miss an opportunity to get a portrait with her remaining sister.
Now’s Your Time
